Kylie Eaton is a director and writer originally from central Illinois who loves sci-fi, fantasy, and all things other-worldly. Her latest short film, KINETIC, debuted at INDY SHORTS 2020 and premiered online at FILM SHORTAGE in August of 2020. A proof-of-concept for her feature script, Eaton’s screenplay placed as a finalist in the 2019 ScreenCraft Sci-Fi and Fantasy Screenplay Competition.
Her other narrative work includes DISPEL, starring Eris Baker (This Is Us) and featuring Gina Torres (Pearson, Firefly, The Matrix), for which Eaton was the recipient of the MARY SHELLEY AWARD at Other Worlds 2019, which honors the best film that furthers the involvement and representation of women in genre filmmaking. DISPEL has played 25+ festivals worldwide, including several Academy-Qualifying festivals, in 2019 – 2020, and won several Best Fantasy Film accolades. DISPEL can currently be seen online on the Million Youth Media YouTube Chanel, as well as the boyish media platform.
Eaton directs genre-blending films that feature practical and visual-effects with a distinct visual style, as well as music video content for the likes of Republic Records and Capitol Music Group, and has created lifestyle content for such brands as Oliver Peoples and Shakeology.
Eaton, who now resides in Los Angeles, sits on the Executive Board for Alliance of Women Directors.
