Charlie Bray
Charlie is a London based director and filmmaker who began making films aged 7, using his father’s Hi-8 camera to create stop-motion animations and embarrassingly low-budget versions of his favourite Hollywood movies. This passion eventually led him to film school and onto directing content in the UK and abroad for brands such as Lloyds Bank, NYU, Ford Motor Company and Team Sky, as well as production work on feature films. Shift is Charlie’s third original narrative short film as director, with his previous two being screened at festivals in the UK and internationally and winning both awards and nominations. He loves that cinema can create an experience that no other medium can and has always found himself drawn to stories about the very light and very dark of human nature.
